This ship is sinking, no doubt about it No use in crying, we’re going down In troubled waters, didn’t see the signs Now it don’t matter, we’re out of time We’re out of time We’re out of time When we were younger, We could have salvaged something But now we’re rusted, Decayed on the underside This cancer lurks deep, In the souls of man You’d better run, you’d better run, Get out while you still can And now we’re searching for that higher ground But all those little tremors have brought us down We’re only thinking when it’s much too late And now we’re sinking (Solo) And now we’re searching for that higher ground But all those little tremors have brought us down We’re only thinking when it’s much too late And now we’re sinking

Bobby’s got a shotgun and a 44 Gonna take a little trip down the liquor store Deep, deep urge to settle a score And he ain’t gonna take no shit no more Girlfriend Suzy’s gonna wait in the car And hawkeye the road for the Silver Star She’d like to run but she won’t get far He said, baby I’ll get you wherever you are So don’t run, don’t run True Romance was her favorite film And she’d like to go down that way She always dreamed of the beaches in Spain But it’s the only reason she has to stay She waits in the car and she listen to Coltrane Hard to see anything through this rain Sweet jazz music used to ease all her pain So why all these tears that she can’t explain? It’s taking too long man, something ain’t right Two shots fired in the darkening night Three figures emerge, but they ain’t her man So she’s gonna run just as fast as she can True Romance was her favorite film And she’d like to go down that way Hollywood ain’t as real as it seem Guess he wasn’t the man that she saw in her dreams Repeat 2nd chorus

Don’t you feel sometimes you gotta get out of the city? Feel your boots stomping on some hallowed ground All this chatter drowning thoughts well that’s a pity When all you really need is to hear the sound… Of your wheels in the gravel Of your boots in the sand Hear the crashing of the water And watch your worries drown You got to get out, get out of the city Got to get out, get out of the city… Don’t you feel sometimes when the pressure is rising? You’ve got to feel some mountain air in your lungs Well I promise you one thing baby you’ll be smiling Once that fern spring water catches your tongue Got your wheels in the gravel Got your boots in the sand Hear the splashing of the water Watch your worries drown solo (Sing along)… You got to get out, get out of the city Got to get out, get out of the city… Got your wheels in the gravel Got your boots in the sand Hear the splashing of the water And watch your worries drown

about

Fyre & Reign came to life as a recording project for American singer/songwriter Mikael Lewis and his daughter, Irish singer/songwriter Hannah Butterfield. While Hannah was in Ireland working on a solo project, Mikael garnered interest from longtime friend and drummer Eric Watson. In October 2014, Mikael and Hannah made the move to join Eric in Utah. During the first rehearsal it became obvious that they were onto something special. Bassist Josh Hone was soon recruited and the band quickly came to life.

Fyre & Reign released Curiosity on June 27th with a live streaming kick off show at Kulak’s Woodshed in Hollywood, California. The band followed this show with a successful tour of Ireland, England, Scotland and USA. The tour ended with a show at the infamous "The Saint" in Asbury Park, NJ. Shortly after this tour the individual band members began pursuing other projects. Eric is currently playing with several bands, Josh is pursuing film work, Hannah is studying Music Performance at Leeds University in England and Mikael is working on a new solo album due for release in Spring 2017.
